About Your Practice

Why did you become a therapist?

I have had the great privilege of seeing life from many perspectives. I have lived in poverty and in excess. I have experienced a great deal of brokenness in my family and I have seen much healing in it. I have worked in construction, stage production, the food service industry, environmental health and safety, and campus ministry. I have been a library aide, a courier, a valet attendant, a shuttle driver, a writer for a concert aggregate, and a musician. I treasure the stories and lives of which I have had the privilege to be a part. As a therapist, I desire to meet people in their stories, to confront and comfort, and to walk with them in this chapter.

What do you think is important for a client to look for in a therapist?

Competence, continued growth, humility, availability

How does your faith play itself out in your work as a therapist?

I believe that, in this world, relationships are broken between self and God, self and others, and self and self. Therapy is an avenue through which we can become ourselves more fully, and healing begins with honesty and trust between people who are in your corner.
