The Basics

How do you spend your spare time?

Taking my dog on a walk or to play outside, spending time with my friends and family (I love being with people), catching up on TV shows on my DVR, drinking coffee, trying out new restaurants.

About your practice

Why did you become a therapist?

I became a therapist because I want to share the hope and freedom I received from my own recovery. I love people, and I am passionate about others experiencing joy in who God created each of us to be.

What do you think is important for a client to look for in a therapist?

It’s important for a client to find a therapist who allows space for the client to be fully themselves and to experience love and acceptance in the transparency. It may seem obvious, but look for a therapist who truly values you.

How does your faith play itself out in your work as a therapist?

Faith is crucial to my work as a therapist. My faith allows me to see each individual and to celebrate who God created them to be. It’s through faith that I believe we can experience hope.

What is your favorite type of music and your favorite singer/band?

I like most genres of music, but if I had to pick a favorite band I would go with Needtobreathe. They are great live and I never get tired of listening to them.

Which TV show would you never miss?

This is Us, Blindspot, and Scandal

What's your favorite book or author?

The Velveteen Rabbit by Margery Williams
