Unlike other created things, humans have the freedom to lean toward or away from the desires of our heart. Why do we do this? Because the world teaches us how to suppress or misdirect our passions, to live fully with desire requires a tremendous amount of courage.
Join us on Friday, October 19th for Living with Desire as we embark on a journey together through teaching and guided table discussion with the Sage Hill team. We’ll help you explore your God-given desires, learn how to courageously embrace them, and freely give yourself permission to live with them. Once we get there – the outcomes will be unpredictable and the gifts, immeasurable. Will you join us?

Jeff Schulte gives direction and oversight to the global mission of Tin Man Ministries. Jeff’s passion is investing deeply and personally in the lives of leaders and the organizations they lead. Prior to this, Jeff was the Executive Director of the Sage Hill Institute, and the directional leader, teaching pastor, and founder of a church with international reach that grew from four people to more than 4,000 in eight years.
Tim Holler has been counseling and/or teaching counseling for over 20 years. As a college professor, he taught both undergraduate and graduate students, concentrating on supervising interns in clinical practice. As a private practice counselor, he has years of experience with individuals and couples whose struggles in the present (e.g. depression, anxiety, addiction, abuse), are bound up with their personal histories.
Sarah Lawrence Allen was led to work at Sage Hill Counseling after the Spiritual Root System™ brought her new life personally. Sarah Lawrence has experience working in inpatient and outpatient levels of care with adolescents and their families, struggling with depression, anxiety, relationship issues, and trauma. She believes that struggling is part of living fully, and it is better to struggle together than to struggle alone. Sarah Lawrence is a native Memphian who loves both the people and the city of Memphis!
Dr. Corey Latta has a B.A. in Biblical studies, M.A. in New Testament Studies, M.A. in English, and Ph.D. in Literature. He has taught in Christian higher education and served in ministry for over ten years. A few of his passions in ministry include teaching biblical interpretation, creating discipleship relationships, and helping people see God’s purpose for their lives. He is the author of C.S. Lewis and the Art of Writing, and is currently working on a new book on Christ and creativity.
Shad Berry Shad’s personal experience with Sage Hill in 2012 stirred a passion for a Sage Hill presence in Memphis. Along with co-founder Tim Holler, they shared a vision to meet the overwhelming need in their community for life-changing counseling. In October of 2014, Shad and Tim officially launched Sage Hill Counseling in Memphis, TN, to help people “see who they were made to be so they can do what they were made to do.”
The seminar will end at 5:30 pm but we invite you to linger as we commemorate the day with a healthy celebration in community!
